ACL 2018

With Austin being the Live Music Capital of the World we get to enjoy some pretty amazing opportunities to listen to some incredible music. However, just like the Austin landscape,  popular music genres are changing as well. While country music is still a solid part of our music fabric, the new “mixed genre” music is pushing the popularity lines closer to the other side.

Austin City Limits Music Festival brings in a ton of acts from all around the country. This years headliners wont disappoint, but as far as taking in some good ole Country music….its going to be slim
pickens.

Take a look at who you might enjoy checking out at ACL this year if your love for Country is still aflame.

Kick’n things off, as they do every year, Friday, October 5 at noon with Austin’s very own Asleep At The Wheel. We’re excited about checking out some of their new tunes from “New Routes” just released in early September.

Brandi Carlile’s music has been categorized in several genres but through it all she says “I have gone through all sorts of vocal phases, from pop to blues to R&B, but no matter what I do, I just can’t get the country and western out of my voice.”
