“America’s Got Talent” season 12 winner and audience favorite Darci Lynne Farmer is celebrating the holidays Oklahoma style in her first original TV special, “Darci Lynne: My Hometown Christmas,” airing Tuesday, Dec. 11 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. For viewers of all ages, the special will celebrate family togetherness at the holidays. The talented young singer-ventriloquist made appearances coast to coast last week with stops at “STEVE,” People Now and NBC’s “Christmas in Rockefeller Center” to promote the upcoming special. She is also set to appear on Emmy-nominated, daytime talk show “Pickler & Ben” Tuesday, Dec. 11 for an interview and performance with puppet Petunia the day the special airs.
The one-hour NBC telecast will feature musical performances and sketches from the young dynamo, along with her lively puppets. There are also several feature performances from such notable guests as multi-award-winning actress and singer Kristin Chenoweth, singer-songwriter Toby Keith, country music superstar Hunter Hayes, three-time Grammy Award-winning and multi-platinum selling artist Pentatonix and two-time Billboard Music Award-winning electronic violinist Lindsey Stirling.
Pentatonix just kicked off their “Christmas Is Here!” tour, in support of their new album by the same name, which is available now. Stirling kicked off her national “Wanderland Holiday Tour” on Nov. 23 and the deluxe edition of her #1 best-selling holiday album, “Warmer in the Winter,” is out now.
The special will also include surprise guest appearances from “America’s Got Talent” judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Mel B.
Farmer will bring viewers home for the holidays to show off all of Oklahoma’s beauty and warmth. The Emmy and Tony Award-winning Chenoweth, also an Oklahoma native, will perform “What a Wonderful World.” In addition, Farmer will perform with Keith as the two pay visit to the OK Kids Korral, a home for children battling cancer.
Additional performances with Pentatonix and Stirling – as well as puppets Petunia, Oscar, Edna and Katie – will feature many familiar holiday tunes such as “Santa Baby,” “Mary Did You Know” and “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town.” Hayes will debut his new song, “This Christmas.” Ricky Minor, who served as musical director on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” from 2010-14, will lead the house band on the special and Lonnie Chavis, from NBC’s “This Is Us,” stops by for a holiday gift exchange. Select music from the special will be available everywhere this Friday, Dec. 7.
Farmer gained national attention when she won NBC’s hit series “America’s Got Talent” in 2017. She captivated audiences with her incredible performances alongside puppets Oscar and Petunia, earning the most votes ever for a winning act. Farmer’s national tour has played in over 50 markets this past year to sell-out crowds, including at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. Farmer also marked an important milestone with her stage debut at the Grand Ole Opry. Darci makes her return to the Grand Ole Opry stage tomorrow, Dec. 4.
Farmer’s first-ever holiday tour, “Rocking Around the Christmas Tree with Darci Lynne and Friends,” is under way now. In addition, her 18-city “Fresh Out of the Box Tour” kicks off Feb. 15, 2019. Additional information and tickets for both shows are available now at www.darcilynne.com.

About Darci Lynne:
Winning NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” at just 12-years old by the most votes for a final performance in the history of the show, singer/ventriloquist Darci Lynne Farmer impresses audiences across the country with her sweetheart disposition and undeniable, show-stopping talent beyond her years. Accompanied by her musical friends including a divaesque rabbit: Petunia, a shy and soulful mouse: Oscar and a sarcastic old woman: Edna. Singing through her friends helped the young entertainer find a voice inside she didn’t know she had and helped her overcome a lifelong struggle with shyness. An Oklahoma native, Darci began participating in talent-based pageants at a young age and picked up ventriloquism shortly after. Two weeks later, Darci began tackling talent shows, eventually making it to the biggest talent show on television, NBC’s “America’s Got Talent.” Following her big win, she has been featured on NBC’s “Little Big Shots,” Food Network’s “Kids Baking Championship,” “Ellen” and “TODAY.” Her first Christmas special “Darci Lynne: My Hometown Christmas” will air on NBC this December. Darci and her friends are continually on the road bringing smiles to audiences across the country. In 2019 Darci is set to appear on NBC’s spin-off series “America’s Got Talent: The Champions” premiering Jan. 7 and will hit the road for her Fresh Out of the Box Tourin February.
