2016 – THE YEAR of Christmas Album Releases

2016 brings a flurry of Christmas Releases

Music has the power to change any mood. And Christmas music has a way of getting you in the mood for gathering, reflecting & celebrating!

 

This is THE YEAR of Christmas Album releases, especially in the Country Genre. So get ready to swing into the holiday season to some familiar old time favorites all the way to newly released tunes that will have you dancing in your boots!

 

Brett Eldredge fully embraces the holiday season with his recent release of GLOW.

Lauren Daigle releases her first ever Christmas album with BEHOLD.

Sarah McLachlan gets us into the holiday spirit early, with her October release of WONDERLAND.

Chris Young releases IT MUST BE CHRISTMAS which includes a feature with Allan Jackson on “There’s A New Kid In Town”.

Even ole’ Jimmy Buffett released ‘TIS THE SEASON on October 28 which has Buffett and his two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels with him on a surf board for the album cover.

Kacey Musgraves A VERY KACEY CHRISTMAS includes several childhood inspired favorites like “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas” and Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer.

Amy Grant released TENNESSEE CHRISTMAS back in October and is her first Christmas album in over 20 years. We were so fortunate to be able to catch up with Amy for a few minutes to talk to her about her new album that includes one of her personal favorites “To Be Together”. It’s a warm tune that feels like an invitation to come home just the way you are.

Jennifer Nettles, also known as “The reining queen of Christmas” released TO CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS on October 28.

Rascal Flatts brings the twang into their very first Christmas album THE GREATEST GIFT OF ALL.

Acoustically brilliant, Neil Diamond released ACOUSTIC CHRISTMAS back on October 28 which includes several old time favorites. The feelings generated by these songs make you feel like you’re sitting around the living room experiencing a personal jam session.

Susan Boyle (Britain’s Got Talent star and viral sensation) released A WONDERFUL WORLD in November. Her voice could sooth even the Abdominal snowman!

REBA McEntire released My Kind of Christmas which is her third Holiday album to date.

At 84 years young, Loretta Lynn released her Christmas album, White Christmas Blue, and has been quoted saying that it is “an emotional and personal journey through Christmases past, present and future”.

Garth Brooks & Trisha Yearwood, release Christmas Together, and is their very first joint album. This mix of traditional and new tunes brings a new level of cheer to listening ears.
The Oak Ridge BoysCelebrate Christmas is a celebratory mix of religious, romantic and fun holiday tunes.
Swing into the holiday cheer with Asleep At The Wheel’s, Merry Texas Christmas Y’All. The album will be featured on Ray Benson’s Austin Outer Limits radio show on Willie’s Roadhouse/Sirius XM.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of John Berry’s legendary Christmas tour and to celebrate that milestone achievement, Berry is releasing Christmas. The 10-cut album includes originals and a few unique takes of Christmas classics.

 

Various Artists released COUNTRY CHRISTMAS GREATEST HITS on Nov. 18.
Artists such as George Strait, Luke Bryan, Darius Rucker, Gary AllenVince Gill, Brenda Lee are featured!
